Text Box:

Obviously you will not be able to take the Practical Driving Test until you are 17, but if you concentrate and develop your skills in your off road lessons, you could be in a position to pass your Driving Test within a couple of weeks of your 17th birthday.  Well ahead of other 17 year olds.

If you are serious about obtaining your licence sooner rather than later your Instructor will help you to prepare for the Theory Test & Hazard Perception Test using an on board computer in the tuition vehicle.  We encourage candidates to prepare for and pass these tests as soon as possible, you can take them on the day of your 17th birthday as long as you have obtained your provisional driving licence, so that the Practical Driving Test can be booked as early  as is possible for a time very close to your 17th birthday.  This way you will always have a target to work towards, and you will remain focused for that date.

If you need more information or wish to book in contact us.  As with any of our driving lessons book early, avoid disappointment!

Learning to Drive at 16

We are now able to offer driving lessons to any one under the age of 17.  We can do this because we have permission to use Dunsfold Park, the home of BBC Televisions Top Gear.  As the area is private and has no access to the general public we use its many and varied roadways to prepare people for their driving test before they are 17. We are able to teach nearly all the skills you would learn if you were learning on the road.

Learning to drive is a life-changing step.  It brings you the freedom to travel, as you want when you want.  It can increase your opportunities for employment, and enhance the way that you use your valuable leisure time.  Whichever way you look at it, the advantages of having a full driving licence are numerous.

Acquiring the competencies and skills of a safe driver requires dedication, determination, perseverance, and above all patience.
